An Ode to Psychedelics

Inspired by the psychedelic experience and drawn to its darker side, Payta’s work explores altered states of consciousness, entities, and the mysterious space between life and death. Originally from Singapore, she is a Bristol-based visionary artist specialising in oil painting, biro, and live art.

In 2025, her painting Bodies was accepted into Ozora Festival’s Mirador Art Gallery in Hungary, where it is now on permanent display and seen by thousands of visitors each year. She has also live-painted at Ozora and exhibits regularly with the Travelling Temple of Art collective across festivals in the UK.

Payta collaborates with psychedelic art collectives including Purple UFO, Magic Carpet, Vision Train, Twice Told Tale, Sonic Sourcery, and Keyhole, and shows her work in galleries worldwide.
