An Ode to Psychedelics
Originally from Singapore, Payta is a Bristol-based visionary artist specialising in oil painting, biro, and live art. Deeply influenced by the psychedelic experience, her work celebrates this state and explores the mystical transition between life and death in every piece.
Continuously developing her practice, she recently live-painted at Ozora Festival in Hungary, the world’s second-largest psytrance festival. Her painting Bodies was accepted into Ozora’s Mirador Art Gallery, where it is now on permanent display and viewed by up to 30,000 visitors annually. Payta is also involved with several psychedelic art collectives, including Purple UFO, Magic Carpet, Vision Train, Twice Told Tale, Sonic Sourcery, and Keyhole, and exhibits through global galleries such as Mirador and the Travelling Temple of Art.
Her work is regularly shown in galleries and at festivals worldwide, and she remains open to commissions and collaboration.
